Yes — our tattoos are made without any latex.
Are Inkcept tattoos nut free?
Yes, none of our tattoo ingredients include nuts.
That said, we can’t completely guarantee a nut-free environment during handling or packing, so if you have a severe allergy, it’s best to check with your doctor before use.
Inkcept Safety
Is Inkcept safe?
Yes, our non-permanent tattoos use a plant-based ink called genipin — a natural extract that has been used in traditional body art by Amazonian tribes for centuries.
Our products have been tested for product safety to ensure that they meet the cosmetic regulatory requirements.
Inkcept formulations contain ingredients you may not have used on your skin before. While it's rare, there's a small risk of allergic reaction upon application (or of sensitisation through repeated use) - please note this is similar to any new product you may apply topically.
If in the rare case you experience any form of physical discomfort or irritability as a result of our tattoos, please contact your doctor and email support@inkcept.com so we can help!
If you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies, it's always a good idea to do a small patch test using one of our 3.5 x 3.5cm tattoos. You can also learn more about our Caution Statement below.
Is Inkcept safe for kids?
While our tattoos meet all required cosmetic safety standards, we advise extra caution for use on delicate or young skin, such as in infants or children. As with any topical product, there’s a small chance of a reaction.
We recommend all customers (especially if you have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies) to do a small patch test using one of our 3.5 x 3.5 inch tattoos.
Inkcept tattoos are available for everyone to purchase, but we strongly recommend use by individuals aged 18 and over.
Can I tattoo permanently over Inkcept?
We don’t recommend it. While many people ask if they can use Inkcept to guide a permanent tattoo, it’s not designed for that purpose.
Real tattoo ink contains different compounds than our plant-based formula, and combining them could risk your skin’s safety.
If you’re planning to get tattooed for real, it’s best to wait until your Inkcept design has completely faded.
Is Inkcept safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend checking with your doctor before using any new skin product — including ours.
What if I have a reaction to the ink?
